SUMMARY: City Council approval is required to purchase property insurance. Property insurance
coverage was considered by the Committees on December 16, 2003. Staff recommends that the City
Council approve the purchase of property insurance from Affiliated FM Insurance Company at an
annual premium of $161,467.
ATTACHMENTS: Update on Property/Liability Insurance Renewal Process
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The funds to pay the property insurance premiums
have been budgeted in the Risk Manager's fund for 2004.
