4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
This intrafund transfer in the amount of $53,000 is necessary to fund the hiring of the Interim Finance
Director and an additional temporary .66 FFE for the remainder of 2002. It also includes funding for the
permanent Finance Director position for one and a half months. The original appropriation for the
Finance Director Position was depleted with the payout of the previous incumbent.
8. RECOMMENDATION:
Motion to approve the proposed General Fund intrafund transfer from the discretionary reserve to the
Finance Department in the amount of $53,000.

The .66 FTE position will not be filled and the department will exceed its personnel appropriation for
2002.
