4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION'
Community Development Staff requests $60,000 from old CDBG loan payments to support a Community
Development Corporation to be set up in conjunction with Kitsap County. The Corporation will develop an
economic development gap financing revolving l~an program for businesses that qualify under the CDBG
program and that have well thought out plans, ability and records. The CDBG funds will be used for the salary
of the loan officer and for loans as needed.
8. RECOMMENDATION:
I move to approve awarding $60,000 to support development of the Community Development Corporation
