4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REOUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
The City of Bremerton has received notification from the Department of Housing and Urban Development that
the actual year 2002 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) allocation is $580,000. The City Council
previously approved awarding $550,000 of the funds to activities recommended by the CDBG Citizen's
Advisory Committee. Based on information provided by the advisory committee it is recommended that the
Council award the $30,000 in additional CDBG funds as follows: $1,575 to Chuckwagon Meals on Wheels,
$25,000 to Bremerton Public Works Department for the ADA sidewalk access program, and $3,425 to the
Bremerton Foodline for facility seismic upgrade.
8. RECOMMENDATION:
I move to approve the recommendations for the additional CDBG funds as described.
