4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
On January 10, 2002, Public Works removed garbage and debris from the property located at
1~6 Naval Avenue after the owner, Washington Mutual, failed to do so as ordered. The legal
requirements for notice were met. The fees incurred for this aetiou, including the administrative fee,
totaled $1,459.30. Council must now decide if the f¢¢~ are just and reasonable and how they should be
collected.
RECOMMENDATION:

reasonable abatement costs and become a lien against the property.
