4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
On December 3, 2001, Public Works removed garbage and debris from the vacant property
located on Marine Drive near Kelly Road after the owner, Phil McAImond, failed to do so as ordered.
The legal requirements for notice were met. The cost of this action, including administrative fees, totaled
$810.00. Council must now decide if the fees are just and reasonable and how they should be collected.
RECOMMENDATION:
I move that Council, by Resolution # ~o-~-, order that the fees in the amount of $810.00
incurred for the abatement of garbage and debris on the property located at Marine Drive, tax parcel
number 152401-2-127-2004 be collected as reasonable abatement costs and become a lien against the
property.
