4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
The city is required by law to provide Public Defender Services. David
Rovang has provided excellent services since 1995.
The attached amendment is for a three year period 1/1/03 through 12/31/05
at the rate of $8,750.00 per month for 2003. The rate has remained the
same for the prior three years (2000 through 2002). This is a 2.3%
increase over 2002.
