4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REQuiREMENT~'FOR ACTION:
The City of Bremerton Rezone Application PL01-0051 proposes to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of
Bremerton for those parcels currently zoned Business Park (BP) located in the Evergreen Park area. The change
to a Mixed Use (MX) zone reflects the current Comprehensive Plan Map, Mixed Use (MU) designation for this
same area.
It is in the public interest to approve this rezone request, as it would bring the Zoning designation into consistency
with the Comprehensive Plan designation, as required by the State Growth Management Act.
The Planning Commission has reviewed this proposal, conducted a public hearing and adopted Findings &
Conclusions at their November 26, 2001 meeting, and recommends City Council approval. The Council must
conduct a public hearing prior to its final decision and action on the proposed Ordinance.
