Approval of this Addendum to extend the term of Mr. Strickler's contract to December 31, 2002 will allow the Ci~ to continue
using the se~ices of Howard Strickler as Chief Negotiator for the City in labor negotiations with the Teamsters bargaining
unit and IAFF bargaining unit. In addition, the BPOG contract will expire December 31, 2002 and we will need to utilize his
se~ices during those negotiations which will begin in August. The amount bugeted for 2002 for these professional se~ices
is $27,500.This Agreement shall not exceed an additional Twen~-Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($27,500.00) for a
new total not to exceed Fifty-Seven Thousand Five Hundre~ Dollars ($57,500).
8. RECOMMENDATION:
Motion authorizing the Mayor to execute the attached Addendum to the Professional Services Agreement between
the City and Strickler & Associates for Labor Negotiations services provided to the City, by extending the Term of
the Contract to December 31, 2002.
