9. IMPACT OF NON-PASSAGE:
The City Attorney's office will need to continue hiring outside counsel to handle the day-to-day legal
work and/or litigation at the cost between $125 - $175 per hour for outside counsel. When compared to hiring
an in-house assistant to handle these issues, the cost would be less than $50 per hour (this is at the highest
possible pay rate) amount also includes federal & state taxes, medical/dental and deferred compensation.
10. IMPACT ON STAFFING~ BUDGETS~ FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT OR OTHER RESOURCF~q:
There is no impact on the budget for 2002 per the City Treasurer on 11/13/01, via telephone, as the amount has
already been set aside for the implementation of the Salary Plan.
