4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
On August 21, 2001, Public Works removed garbage and debris from the property located at 1702
Burweil Street after the owner, Donald Rockwell, failed to do so as ordered. The legal requirements for
notice were met. The cost incurred for this action, including the administrative fee, totaled $725.00.
Council must now decide if the fees are just and reasonable, and how they should be collected.
RECOMMENDATION:
I move that Council, by Resolution # ~t{~ , order that the fees in the amount of $725.00
incurred for the abatement of garbage and debris located at 1702 Burwell Street be collected as
reasonable abatement costs and become a lien against the property.
