4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
On August 21,, 2001, Public Works removed garbage and debris from the property located at 241
S. Cambrian Avenue after the owner, Gary Atnip, failed to do so as ordered. The legal requirements for
notice were met. The cost of this action, including the administrative fee, totaled $1,021.66. Council must
now decide if the fees are just and reasonable, and how they should be collected.
RECOMMENDATION:
I move that Council, by Resolution # ~ ~7, order that the fees in the amount of $1,021.66
incurred for the abatement of garbage and debris located at 241 S. Cambrian Avenue be collected as
reasonable abatement costs and become a lien against the property.
