On May 22, 2001, Public Worl~ ~ured both hou~e~ located on the property addre~ed as 1421
and 1425 - 1'~ Street, after it was discovered that water service had been disconnected to both structures
and thc hon~e~ were inhabited by vagrants. All attempts to contact the owner, Dnane Oiiphant, have
f~iled. The eo~t of the worlh including the administrative f,~ totuled $1,699.83. Council must now
decide if the f~ are just uud re~onuhle and how the~ ~houid be collected.
RECOMMENDATION:
I move thut Conncil, by Resolution # o~ ~ I , order that the fe~ incurred for securing thc houses
located at 1411 & 1425 - 17t~ Street be collected ns ren~onable abatement costs and become a lien against
the property.
