4. SUMMARY .STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
On April 5, 2001, Public Works secured a dangerous earthquake-damaged chimney on the house
located at 1614 Wheaton Way after the owner, Colby Jacobs, failed to do so as ordered. The cost of the
work, including administrative fees, totaled $1,067.69. Council must now decide if the fees are reasonable
and how they should be collected.
RECOMMENDATION:
I move that Council, by Resolution # ~.~[~ , order that the fees incurred for the abatement of a
dangerous chimney located at 1614 Wheaton Way be collected as reasonable abatement costs and become
a lien against the property.
