4. S~Y STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
Bids were opened for the East Park CSO, East 18th Street Diversion contract on May 24, :2001. This contract
provides for construction of 1,460 linear feet of 12-inch diameter PVC gravity sewer pipe and 1,055 linear feet of
12-inch diameter PVC pressure sewer pipe. The contract work includes labor, materials, equipmem, and support
services for the project. One bid for this project was received. Ace Paving Co., Inc. was thc single and lowest
responsive bidder with a bid of $403,054.03. The Engineer's estimate for the project is $415,000. The action
before the City Council is approval of the award of the bid of $403,054.03 with Ace Paving Co., Inc. for thc East
Park CSO, East 18th Street Diversion contract.
8. RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council approve award of the bid of $403,054.03 with Ace Paving Co., Inc. for the East Park CSO, East
18th Street Diversion contract and authorize the Mayor to execute the same.
