4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION (continued from page 1)
The engineer's estimate for the project is between $250,000 and $350,000. Second low bidder is Strider Construction with a
bid of $348,404.00 including sales tax. The action before the City Council is approval of the contract with Grade, Inc. for
stream restoration on Gorst Creek per contract specifications.
5. IMPACT ON NON-PASSAGE:
Non-passage or delay of passage would result in failure to complete this project and the potential future inability to procure
funding for other salmon recovery projects.
6. IM~ACT ON STAFFING, BUDGETS, FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT AND OTHER RESOURCES:
Staffing: Approximately 100 hours for construction inspection services under a professional services
agreement. Staffing and donated materials acts as City match for grant.
BudgeffFunding: Included in 2001 budget. Contract costs by State Salmon Recovery Funding Board Grant through
lAC administration.
Facilities/Equipment: Removes concrete channel below City intake structure.
