4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REOUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL/ACTION:
The City of Bremerton, through its Solid Waste Advisory Committee, is in the process of developing a Request for
Bids (RFB) for Solid Waste Collection Services for a minimum period of five years commencing January 1, 2002.
The purpose o£this public hearing is to present Committee recommendations and take input from Bremerton
citizens regarding the terms and conditions for garbage, recycling, yard waste, and other special waste collection
services to be included in the RFB. Staff will consider the input in finalizing the provisions o£the RFB. No official
action is required of the City Council.
