4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTIOn'S'.'
In order to meet State and Federal safety standards, the Fire Department must purchase new Self-Contained
Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and parts for use in fighting fires and entering into hazardous atmospheres to rescue
citizens. The Fire Department is seeking authorization to enter into a purchasing agreement with Sea-Western
Inc. to purchase the equipment. Sea-Western is the sole source authorized distributor for Washington State.
8. RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council authorize the Mayor to sign the purchasing agreement with Sea-Western to purchase
Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus.
