4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
A High Rate Clarification System is required for thc East Bremerton CSO Treatment Plant. On January 4, 2001 the
City published a" Notice Inviting Bids "for a "High Rate Clarification System Supplier Procurement". Bid
opening wasrlanuary 18, 2001 by the City's Purchasing Agent. ~ bids were received with

The City Council approve the bid award for the High Rate Clarification System to

5. IMPACT ON NON-PASSAGE:
This equipment is required for a project included in the City's Comprehensive CSO Reduction Plan. Without the
project, the City will be in noncompliance with the PSA consent decree.
6. IMPACT ON STAFFING, BUDGETS, FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT OR OTHER RESOURCES:
This equipment is included in the CSO Treatmem Facility which is included in the 2001 Budget and Capital
Facilities Plan.
