SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION: In 1997, the Gold Mountain Golf Complex did just under 115,000 rounds from a clubhouse that was considered inadequate before the new Olympic Course opened. The Current clubhouse is in poor condition with its leaky roof, failing heaters and air conditioning, shortcomings relative to ADA requirements, and general lack of space. Requests for Statement of Qualifications from interested architectural firms went out in September of 1997 to design a new clubhouse. Twenty-three firms responded. This group was short- listed down to five, and each interviewed at the end of October. The Bumgardner Architects were selected. Reference checks were made and proved very favorable. Phase I (Pre-Design) has been completed and we are ready to proceed with Phase II. This Phase will include Project Administration, Design, and Construction Procurement Services. Costs were derived by applying the A/E Fee schedule specified in the "Guidelines for Determining A/E Fees for Public Building Projects in Washington State" to the estimates reached during the pre-design phase. The costs associated with Phase II are not to exceed $178,665.00. 8. "Spotting drawing" xvill be prepu'ed showing utilities connection locations and load calculations for use by mechanical and electrical consultants. A definitive budget will be established to determine the amount of moneys required for the final purch:tse of food service equipment as listed in Specifications, Section 11400. Contract Document Production: Working drawings including plan and details will be prepared together with detailed specifications describing the work covered in Section 11400. It is intended that these documents (plans and specifications) will be in a form which can be directly incorporated into the "Architect's" set without modification or editing. Elevations, where applicable, xvill be referenced to the appropriate architectural sheet.
