Re: Natural Gas Supply Line
Bremerton Transportation Center
Dear Mr. Dun:
In November 1998, at our request, the natural gas line starting from Washington Street to the Bremerton
Fen3, Terminal, other 1" S~eet Businesses and the Port of Bremerton Marina complex was disconnected
and capped. Capping was required because of the demolition work in prog~ss to prepare the site for the
new Bmmerton Tmus~rtation Center (BTC). A new gas pipeline is required to service this new facility,
a future three story retail building and to reconnect the Port of Bremerton Marina to natural gas
Attached for your use in planuing a route and obtaining an easement fi-om the City to install a new Natural
Gas line we have enclosed the following information:
1. Drawing Job No. 21-3627-01 "Power Location" showing the location of the power and
telephone conduits servicing the future BTC.
2. part of drawing p - 2.2 showing the location of the gas meter to be installed for the BTC only.
A separate meter will be installed at this same location for the future three-story retail
building.
3. Drawing CP203 that shows some of the other utilities in the Area. This Drawing is not
complete for the ama adjacent to 2"d Street.
We recommend that the pipeline be installed from 2"a Street to the site to avoid interference with new BTC
construction andto reconnect the marina. The pipeline will run through the city parking lot, which has
been rented by Kitsap Transit. This parking lot is the active bus operations area servicing the ferries during
BTC construction. Any work in this area must be closely coordinated with KT bus operations. The earlier
this project can be completed, the easier it will be to provide access for the instalhtion crew. We request
that Cascade natural Gas expedite the completion of this project.
If you need any other data please call me at 360475-0238.
