EASEMENT
EXCISE TAX EXEMPT OCT 2 2 1998
THE GRANTOR, City ofBremerton, a Washington municipal corporation ("City"),
hereby grants to GRANTEE, the Kitsap Transit Public Transportation Benefit Area ("Kitsap
Transit"), for good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged,
a non-exclusive easement for ingress and egress to allow Transit related vehicles access to
The Bremerton Transit Center Parking Garage to and from 2na Street, over property legally
described in Attachment "A" and marked as Parcel A-1 thereon, incorporated herein by this
reference as if fully set forth.("Property") Said easement consists of strip(s) of land within
the Property with a total width not to exceed 30', for the purpose stated above, at the location
within the Property to be agreed to between Kitsap Transit and the City. Said location of
Kitsap Transit's easement may be relocated, or this easement extinguished, as determined
necessary by the City to accommodate the use,development or transfer of the City's Property.
This easement shall be extinguished upon alternative access being obtained by Kitsap
Transit.

4. SU~Y STATEME~ ~D REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
The proposed Memorandum of Understanding provides for the cooperative development
of the Bremerton Transportation Center (BTC). Parties are the Washington State
Ferries, City of Bremerton, Port of Bremerton, Kitsap Transit and the Sinclair
Landing Associates. The BTC is the initial component of the Sinclair Landing
Project and requires the conveyance by the City of certain easements. This
agreement is identified as Exhibit "A" in the Sinclair Landing Master Development
Agreement executed earlier this year.
8. RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize Mayor to sign Memorandum of Understanding and any ..~ccs=ary easements.
