Mr. E. H. T. McGowan
City Clerk
City Hall
Bremerton, Washington
Dear Mr. McGowan
Enclosed is warranty deed to certain described
property, being a portion of the Schultheis property on the
west side of Chester Avenue, which was to be conveyed to
the City of Bremerton in exchange for vacating an easterly
portion of Chester Avenue and which would become the property
of George W. ~iartin and wife.
I understand from our telephone conversation of
Thursday, July 17, that the ordinance vacating the portion of
Chester was passed on second reading by the council on July 16
and, of course, thirty days are necessary to provide for pub-
lication of the ordinance and put it into effect. Upon the
basis of the council's action, however, I am forwarding this
deed, together with check in the amount of $4.20 in payment of
the federal documentary stamps to be placed thereon and am
forwarding the consideration to Mr. and Mrs. Schultheis and
advising Mr. and Mrs. Martin that same has been accomplished.
Also, a copy of this letter is going forward to Roy A. Holland,
city attorney.
At the expiration of thirty days, or when the ordinance
vacating a portion of Chester Avenue is in effect, you are at
liberty to record the deed, conveying this property to the City
of Bremerton.
Encls.
