DIGITAL RECORDING COUNCIL <br />APPRrA,. <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />Wednesday, December 5, 2018 �y <br />The weekly meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order Wednesday, <br />December 5, 2018, at 5:00 PM in Council Conference Room 603 of the NORM DICKS GOVERNMENT <br />CENTER, 345 6t" Street, Bremerton, Washington, with Council President Eric Younger presiding. Council <br />Members present were Richard Huddy, Michael Goodnow, Tony Hillman, Kevin Gorman, Leslie Daugs, <br />and Pat Sullivan. Also present were City Attorney Roger Lubovich; City Clerk Angela Woods; Legislative <br />Office Manager Lori Smith; and Information Services Manager Kevin Matthew. <br />A COUNCIL BRIEFING was held to discuss General Council Business at 5:00 PM in the Council <br />Conference Room. At 5:30 PM the meeting moved to the Meeting Chambers. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council Member Pat Sullivan followed by the invocation <br />provided by Reverend Ron Anderson of Manette Community Church. <br />MAYOR'S REPORT— Mayor Wheeler... <br />• Encouraged property owners to apply for Brownsfields Grants through a Site Nomination Form <br />in the Callow Avenue Business District; and <br />• Introduced Columbia Hospitality Executive Vice -President Brian Flaherty, Kitsap Conference <br />Center General Manager Lori Main, Gold Mountain Golf Complex General Manager Daryl <br />Matheny, and Columbia Hospitality's Director of Recreational Facilities & Services Mark <br />Knowles who each provided a summary of their role in the two properties owned by the City of <br />Bremerton -- the Gold Mountain Golf Complex and the Kitsap Conference Center at Harborside. <br />PUBLIC RECOGNITION <br />Vernon Simmons was thankful the suspicious device found in mid-November near Armin Jahr <br />Elementary School, which is also near his home, turned out not to be a bomb, but expressed concern <br />about several other concerning incidents that have taken place recently.
