City Council Study Session Minutes <br />Wednesday, January 10, 2018 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />D. EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />President Younger announced that Council would recess for a 30 -Minute Executive Session <br />from 7:54 to 8:24 PM to "Evaluate the Applications for an Appointment' allowed under RCW <br />42.30.110(1)(g); and that action would be taken when back in session. <br />The Executive Session was extended for 10 more minutes... At 8:34 PM, the Council <br />reconvened... <br />E. APPOINTMENT OF DISTRICT 4 COUNCIL MEMBER – To serve until the results of the next <br />Municipal General Election on November 5, 2019 are certified. <br />President Younger opened nominations. <br />Pat Sullivan nominated Jaime L. Forsyth. <br />Richard Huddy nominated Tony Hillman. <br />With no further nominations, President Younger asked for a vote by signed ballot. <br />Voted in Favor of Forsyth: Sullivan, Goodnow, Younger <br />Voted in Favor of Hillman: Daugs, Gorman, Huddy <br />Due to a 3 to 3 tie, President Younger requested a second vote. <br />Voted in Favor of Forsyth: Goodnow, Younger <br />Voted in Favor of Hillman: Sullivan, Daugs, Gorman, Huddy <br />By a vote of 4 to 2, Tony Hillman was appointed as the District 4 Council Member. <br />President Younger announced that newly appointed District 4 Council Member Tony Hillman <br />would be Sworn In at the January 17, 2018 Council Meeting. President Younger then called a <br />recess at 08.50 PM... At 9:00 PM, the meeting reconvened in Council Conference Room 603... <br />F.
