DIGITAL RECORDING <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> Wednesday, May 15, 2019 <br /> The weekly meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order Wednesday, <br /> May 15, 2019, at 5:00 PM in Council Conference Room 603 of the NORM DICKS GOVERNMENT <br /> CENTER, 345 6th Street, Bremerton, Washington, with Council President Eric Younger <br /> presiding. Council Members present were Richard Huddy, Lori Wheat, Kevin Gorman, and Leslie <br /> Daugs. Council Members Pat Sullivan and Michael Goodnow were absent. Also present were City <br /> Attorney Roger Lubovich; City Clerk Angela Woods; Legislative Office Manager Lori Smith; and Hans <br /> Nilsson with Information Services. <br /> A COUNCIL BRIEFING was held to discuss General Council Business at 5:00 PM in the Council <br /> Conference Room. At 5:30 PM the meeting moved to the Meeting Chambers. <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council Vice President Leslie Dauqs followed by the <br /> invocation provided by President Eric Younger. <br /> MAYOR'S REPORT Mayor Wheeler... <br /> • Shared photos that followed the progress of the sidewalk improvements at 16th Street & <br /> Warren Avenue by Olympic College; <br /> • Brought forward Kathleen Cahall, retired after 38-years as the City of Bremerton Water <br /> Resources Manager to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Mike Means, <br /> Office Director and Andy Anderson, Southwest Region Manager with the Division of <br /> Environmental Public Health, Washington State Department of Health; and <br /> • Encouraged citizens to attend the Armed Forces Day Festival this weekend, and the <br /> Memorial Day events next weekend. <br /> PUBLIC RECOGNITION <br /> Sherry Felice Lincoln suggested the City of Bremerton adopt an idea used in the City of Los <br /> Angeles where cardboard fold-out signs are provided to citizens that can be used following a <br /> disaster to hang on their door or window to indicate if they're "OK" or"Need Help". <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 6A— Claims & Check Register: Check Numbers 384263 through 384465, and EFT-V19775 <br /> through EFT-V19829 in the amount of$3,053,914.98; and Regular Payroll for the pay <br /> period ending April 30, 2019 in the amount of$918,386.05 <br /> 6B — Minutes of Meeting — May 1, 2019 <br /> 6C — Minutes of Special Meeting & Study Session — May 8, 2019 <br /> 6D — Confirm Appointment of Kirsten Dahlquist to the Design Review Board <br /> 6E — Confirm Appointment of Jessica Arthur to the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee <br /> 6F — Set Annual Compensation for Municipal Court Judge <br /> 6G — Renewal of Agreement with Redflex Traffic Systems, Inc. for Photo Red Light Enforcement <br /> Program <br /> 6H — Pollution Liability Insurance bound with Illinois Union Insurance Company for 2019 through <br /> 2021 <br /> 61 — Rental Agreement with Xylem, Inc. for Bypass Pumping at Pump Station CE-4 <br /> 6J — Interlocal Agreement with the Peninsula Regional Transportation Planning Organization <br />
