DIGITAL RECORDING <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES' <br />Wednesday, January 16, 2019 <br />The weekly meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order Wednesday, <br />January 16, 2019, at 5:00 PM in Council Conference Room 603 of the NORM DICKS GOVERNMENT <br />CENTER, 345 6th Street, Bremerton, Washington, with Council President Eric Younger <br />presiding. Council Members present were Richard Huddy, Michael Goodnow, Lori Wheat, Kevin <br />Gorman, Leslie Daugs, and Pat Sullivan. Also present were City Attorney Roger Lubovich; City Clerk <br />Angela Woods; Legislative Office Manager Lori Smith; and Information Services Manager Dave Kevin <br />Matthew. <br />A COUNCIL BRIEFING was held to discuss General Council Business at 5:00 PM in the Council <br />Conference Room. At 5:30 PM the meeting moved to the Meeting Chambers. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council Member Pat Sullivan followed by the invocation <br />provided by Reverend Paul Meeker of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. <br />SWEARING-IN CEREMONY <br />President Younger asked Judge James Docter to come forward to administer the Oath of Office <br />to newly appointed District 4 Council Member Lori Wheat. Council Member Wheat was then <br />seated at the Dais for the remainder of the meeting. <br />Police Chief James Burchett brought forward new Police Officers Mitchell Chapman; Brock N. <br />Gorang; Tara M. Muniekovich; and David Shohradov. Judge Docter then administered the Oath <br />of Office. <br />MAYOR'S REPORT <br />• Mayor Wheeler provided a "State of the City" Address. <br />PUBLIC RECOGNITION — There were no questions or comments from the public... <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />6A — Claims & Check Register: Check Numbers 382586 through 382833, and EFT -V19336 <br />through EFT -V19393 in the amount of $3,194,040.57; Regular Payroll for the pay period <br />ending December 31, 2018 in the amount of $832,638.58; and Regular Payroll (Pay Outs & <br />Corrections) for the pay period ending December 31, 2018 in the amount of $10,203.11; <br />6B — Minutes of Meeting — January 2, 2019 <br />6C — Minutes of Study Session — January 9, 2019 <br />6D— Purchase of 2019 Property Insurance with Hartford Fire Insurance Company; Earthquake <br />Insurance with Empire Indemnity Insurance Company/General Security Company of Arizona; <br />and Terrorism Insurance with Lloyds of London <br />6E— Purchase of Aviation Insurance with Global Aerospace for City of Bremerton's Unmanned <br />Aircraft System (UAS) <br />6F — Purchase of Cyber Insurance with AXA XL Catlin <br />6G — Tourism Promotion Services Agreement with Bremerton Chamber of Commerce <br />6H — Tourism Promotion Services Agreement with Visit Kitsap Peninsula <br />61— Tourism Promotion Services Agreement with WA State Science & Engineering Fair <br />6J — Tourism Promotion Services Agreement with Bremerton Historic Ships Association <br />
