Council <br /> Members present were Eric Younger, Roy Runyon, Dino Davis, Jerry McDonald, Leslie Daugs and <br /> Pat Sullivan. Also present were City Attorney Roger Lubovich; City Clerk Shannon Corin; <br /> Legislative Assistant Lori Smith; and Kevin Matthew, Information Services Manager. <br /> A CouNci�BRiEFirvG was held to discuss General Council Business at 5:00 PM in the Council <br /> Conference Room. At 5:30 PM the meeting moved to the Meeting Chambers. <br /> President Wheeler announced that Council Member Pat Sullivan will lead the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance; and Pastor Tim Cartwriqht of Emmanuel Lutheran Church will provide the invocation. <br /> MAYOR'S REPORT—Mayor Patty Lent... <br /> • Recognized Cathv Johnson and Caroline Tompson for their efforts in receiving the <br /> "Distinguished Budget Award" from the Washington Finance Officers Association (WFOA); <br /> • Proclaimed the Month of October 2015 as "Domestic Violence Awareness Month", which <br /> was accepted by Denise Frev, Executive Director of the YWCA of Kitsap County; and <br /> • Was pleased to announce that 46 building permits have been issued so far this year. <br /> PUBLIC RECOGNITION <br /> Mike Walton, Community Relations Director with the Bremerton Family YMCA, reported that Fall <br /> programs and events are under way, including the Halloween Hustle 5K on Sunday, October 25 <br /> beginning with a Costume Contest at 2:30 PM; the Annual Harvest Social on Thursday, October <br /> 29 beginning at 5:00 PM; and various Dance Classes. <br /> Kathv Hartwell presented information found on the Washington State Liquor & Cannabis Board <br /> website which indicated the WSLCB will begin accepting retail license applications on October 12; <br /> and that there will not be an initial cap on the number of licenses issued.
