Council Members <br /> present were Eric Younger, Roy Runyon, Dino Davis, Jerry McDonald, Leslie Daugs and Pat Sullivan. <br /> Also present were City Attorney Roger Lubovich; City Clerk Shannon Corin; Legislative Assistant Lori <br /> Smith; and Kevin Matthew, Information Services Manager. <br /> A CouNci�BRiEFiN� was held to discuss General Council Business at 5:00 PM in the Council <br /> Conference Room. At 5:30 PM the meeting moved to the Meeting Chambers. <br /> COUNCIL OATH OF OFFICE CEREMONY <br /> Municipal Court Judqe James Docter administered the Oath of Office for Patricia "Pat" Sullivan, <br /> who was then seated as Council Member for District No. 1. <br /> President Wheeler then announced that Council Member Pat Sullivan will lead the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance; and Pastor Roqer Henniqan of Apostolic Life Tabernacle will provide the invocation. <br /> ELECTION OF COUNCIL OFFICER <br /> President Wheeler opened nominations for Council Vice-President to fill the vacant position. <br /> Jerrv McDonald nominated Eric Younger. <br /> Dino Davis nominated Leslie Daugs. <br /> With no further nominations, President Wheeler asked for a vote by ballot. <br /> Voted in Favor of Eric Younger: Sullivan, McDonald, Runyon, Younger, Wheeler <br /> Voted in Favor of Leslie Daugs: Daugs, Davis <br /> By a vote of 5-Votes for Eric Younger; and 2-Votes for Leslie Daugs; Eric Younaer was elected <br /> Council Vice-President for the remainder of 2015. <br /> FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> Fire Chief AI Duke brought forward Municipal Court Judqe James Docter to Administer the Oath <br /> of Office for the following promotions: <br /> • John Pavne was promoted from Lieutenant to Captain; <br /> • Alex Maaallon was promoted from Firefighter/EMT to Lieutenant; and <br /> • Ricardo Valdez was promoted from Firefighter/EMT to Lieutenant <br /> MAYOR'S REPORT—Mayor Patty Lent... <br /> • Presented the Mayor's Appreciation Award to John Sitton and Chris Kiehl for introducing <br /> students to golf through the 2"d Annual Summer Junior Golf Academy; <br /> • Announced the "Gimme Shelter" Ride Around Hood Canal for Homelessness Awareness in <br /> Kitsap County would be held on Saturday, September 12 beginning at 9:00 AM from <br /> Destination Harley in Silverdale and ending at the Bremerton 9/11 Memorial at Evergreen <br /> Rotary Park at approximately 4:00 PM; Hailey & Her "Tiny' House will also be participating; <br /> • Was pleased that many volunteers have already signed up to help during the All City Clean <br /> Up on Saturday, September 19 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Legion Field and emphasized that <br /> only yard waste will be accepted; <br />
