The last phase involves work on the east end of the fifth floor to <br />accommodate Information Services and the Prosecutors. Comments were provided by <br />Gorman and Daugs; and questions were provided by Daugs and Hillman; with responses provided <br />by Mr. Martin... <br />07:08:42 M/S/C (Gorman/Goodnow) Move to approve a budget adjustment to increase the <br />General Fund Facilities expenditure budget by -$120,000, to modify Norm Dicks Government <br />Center fifth floor space for the City's Information Services staff and the City's Prosecuting Attorney <br />staff, with a transfer of revenue from Real Estate Excise Tax receipts (Fund 308) in the same <br />amount. <br />Voted in favor of Motion: Hillman, Goodnow, Sullivan, Gorman, Huddy <br />Voted opposed to Motion: Daugs <br />Motion carried: 5 -Yes; 1 -No <br />COUNCIL MEMBER REPORTS <br />Pat Sullivan invited volunteers to the next Lions Park Monthly Work Party on Saturday, April 14 <br />from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM to pull weeds and clean up the shoreline; and mentioned how much <br />she enjoyed working as a volunteer with Caroline Stein at the WSSEF, was honored to provide <br />welcoming remarks to kick off the event and to hand out awards, and looked forward to next year. <br />Leslie Daugs was pleased to be one of the featured speakers at the Bataan Remembrance Day <br />Ceremony on Saturday, April 7 beginning at 9:30 AM at Bataan Park; invited the public to attend <br />the Grand Opening of the Habitat for Humanity Store Annex also on Saturday, April 7; announced <br />the Annual Lowe's National Women Build Week from May 8 through 12; provided an update on the <br />Kitsap Transit Composition Review Board; looked forward to brainstorming ideas for "Low Income <br />Affordable Housing" at a stakeholder's meeting on April 15; thanked volunteers who help at the <br />Salvation Army; thanked Mr. Walton for his efforts to keep the City informed on activities at the <br />Bremerton Family YMCA; thanked Ms. Stein for her work on the WSSEF; and welcomed new Audit <br />Committee Member Darryl Scott Riley. <br />Kevin Gorman announced a Ribbon Cutting at 1:00 PM & Open House from Noon to 4:00 PM for <br />the Freedom Boat Club on Saturday, April 7 at the Bremerton Marina; the Annual Arbor Day <br />Celebration to be held on Wednesday, April 11 at 11:00 AM at the Whitey Domstad Vista located <br />at the east end of the Manette Bridge; and announced the Public Grand Opening & Open House of <br />the Marvin Williams Recreation Center on Saturday, April 7 at 10:00 AM; and reflected on the life <br />of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the life lessons he learned from him. <br />
