Comments and questions were <br />provided by Huddy, Davis, and Younger with responses provided by Ms. Satter... <br />06:58:17 M/S/C/U (Ruddy/Davis) Move to pass Ordinance No. 5320 annexing the property within <br />the West Bremerton Urban Growth Area near Corbet Drive into the City of Bremerton. <br />GENERAL BUSINESS — There were no General Business items... <br />COUNCIL MEMBER REPORTS <br />Richard Huddy encouraged people to visit the Farmers Market on Thursdays; attended the <br />Bremerton Central Lions White Cane Day, Older Americans Conference, Kitsap Celebration of <br />Philanthropy, Disabilities Legislative Reception, Military Culinary Arts Competition, and Scouting <br />Leadership Breakfast; thanked Kitsap Sun Reporter Josh Farley for engaging communities to <br />identify their neighborhoods; recognized I'sh Vintage Clothing & Costume for hosting Bremerton <br />Green Drinks; reported on the panel discussion at the Immigrant Experience; and announced the <br />Bremerton Central Lions Pancake Breakfast during the Armed Forces Festival on Saturday, May <br />20 from 7:00 to 10:00 AM. <br />Dino Davis commented on the recent earthquakes; and encouraged people to contact the <br />American Red Cross or FEMA to be prepared as possible. <br />Gren Wheeler announced that volunteers are needed for the next Kiwanis Park Monthly Work <br />Party on Saturday, May 27 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM rain or shine; looked forward to the Armed <br />Forces Festival and hoped people would come out to view the parade and to see the City's <br />connection to the military; and also thanked the Lions Club for the annual breakfast and Kiwanis <br />Club for Marshalling the parades throughout the parade's history. <br />Jerry McDonald attended the knighting ceremony of Bremerton High Schools students; <br />announced the TrawlerFest Boat Show from Thursday, May 18 through Saturday, May 20 from <br />10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Marina; reported on the progress of the project on 41h Street; shared <br />the schedule of events for the Armed Forces Day Festival on Saturday, May 20, which includes the <br />Bremerton Central Lions Pancake Breakfast from 7:00 to 10:00 AM, the Armed Forces Day Parade <br />beginning at 10:00 AM, the Puget Sound Energy Heroes BBQ from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and <br />Navy League Gala from 6:00 to 9:00 PM; and also looked forward to the Bridge Blast fireworks <br />display on Saturday, July 1 off of the Manette Bridge. <br />Leslie Dauns presented a Certificate of Promotion on behalf of the City of Bremerton to Mountain <br />View Middle School student Matthew Johnson; invited the public to a "Critical Condition of <br />Healthcare in Kitsap Forum" on June 3 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Bremerton Teen Center; <br />congratulated the Pacific NW Ilocondia Association for its 30th Anniversary Celebration; also <br />
