Minutes <br /> Wednesday, April 20, 2016 <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br /> POLICE DEPARTMENT BRIEFING <br /> Police Chief Steven Strachan used a Power Point presentation to highlight trends and <br /> statistics for the Month of March to early April; provided an update on the "Fuzz" Fund; <br /> mentioned that Pastor Rob Steinbach of Seaside Church will be a new Police Chaplain; and <br /> sadly reported that retired K-9 Officer Lance, former partner to Sergeant Renfro, passed away <br /> yesterday. Comments were provided by Daugs... <br /> COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE <br /> Allison Satter, City Planner, announced that the draft Comprehensive Plan is available for <br /> viewing under"Bremerton 2035' at www.BremertonWA.qov; and the "Zoning Code Updates" <br /> will be featured at the next meeting. Lisa Grueter, with BERK Consulting, discussed the <br /> highlights of the "Appendix". Comments were provided by Wheeler... <br /> PUBLIC RECOGNITION <br /> Sunnv Wheeler announced that the newly formed Bremerton Parks Foundation is now an <br /> official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and will be able to help with much needed projects in <br /> Bremerton, especially with matching funds on grants. She added that she is serving as <br /> President; former Parks Director Wvn Birkenthal will be Vice-President; and former Council <br /> Member Jim McDonald will be Treasurer. Lastly, she mentioned that donations are welcome <br /> and a website and Facebook page are coming soon.
