All parking in that location is owned by the Port of Bremerton and posted for Marina use <br /> only, and the closest accessible ramp is located on Washington Avenue. To address the request, <br /> the City and Port have negotiated an Interlocal Agreement with the City completing the design and <br /> construction, and the Port reimbursing the City for the construction cost. The ramp is proposed to <br /> be designed and constructed with the Bremerton Crosswalk Improvement project which is <br /> scheduled for construction in 2016. <br /> There were no comments from the public... <br /> 06:10:28 Motion was made by Younger, and seconded by Runyon...Questions were asked by <br /> Runyon; with responses provided by Mr. Knuckev... <br /> 06:11:47 M/S/C/U (Younger/Runyon) Move to approve the Interlocal Agreement with the Port of <br /> Bremerton for Construction of an Accessible Parking Space at the East End of Second Street and <br /> authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and <br /> conditions as presented. <br /> 8B— LOCAL AGENCY AGREEMENT WITH WSDOT FOR A"SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL" <br /> GRANT TO BE USED FOR THE CROWNHILL ELEMENTARY SIDEWALKS SCHOOL: Tom <br /> Knuckev, City Engineer summarized that the City has been awarded a $545,000 Safe Routes to <br /> School grant to design and construct sidewalks and crosswalk improvements near Crownhill <br /> Elementary. The project will design and construct new sidewalks along the east side of Marine <br /> Drive between Rocky Point Road and Bertha Avenue and along Dora Avenue making connections <br /> between existing sidewalks and the school, as well as a new crosswalk and enhanced safety <br /> features at the intersection of Marine Drive and Dora Avenue. This grant is in WSDOT standard <br /> form (Local Agency Agreement or LAA) with their standard terms and conditions.
