Proposed Backflow Device Program —Wayne Hamilton, Utilities Operations Manager <br /> Information only <br /> 14. SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE FOR REPLACEMENT OF A DISTRIBUTION KIOSK <br /> (ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT) LOCATED AT PENDERGAST PARK BY VALID <br /> MANUFACTURING LTD: Jim Orton, Equipment Services Manager, explained that the <br /> Distribution Kiosk (electrical cabinet) at Pendergast Park that controls the outside <br /> lighting sustained major damage form an automobile accident and needs to be replaced. <br /> The cabinet is a sole source item with a replacement cost of approximately $55,000. <br /> Chal Martin, Public Works & Utilities Director determined from the discussion that there <br /> was enough understanding from the Council about the sense of urgency to repair the <br /> cabinet, and that 8 days could be saved if the work could start right away, and therefore <br /> requested action tonight. President Wheeler concurred. <br /> There were no comments from the public... <br /> M/S/C/U (Younger/Daugs) Move to approve a sole source purchase from Valid <br /> Manufacturing Ltd. for the purchase of a Distribution Kiosk and electrical equipment, not <br /> to exceed $75,000. <br /> C.
