Minutes
Wednesday, March 5, 2014
Roy Runyon provided a heartfelt thank you to the Bremerton Fire Department and Bremerton Police
Department, specifically Sgt. Billy Renfro, Officers Bryan Hall, and David Hughes for saving two teenage
girls from a recent early morning house fire; thanked the volunteers who helped clean -up the right -of-
way along 19` Street in Anderson Cove; and announced a new Facebook page titled "City of Bremerton
Citizen's Watch ", which he clarified is not an official City of Bremerton page, but is a place for citizens to
express their comments and state their views.
Eric Younger hoped the City administration would quickly address the social media issue because he
believes it will help to get the flow of communication going; and would like the Council to think about
having a future discussion to determine an "identity" for Bremerton, agree on what are we striving to
become, and what direction do we want to go as a City?
Greg Wheeler appreciated the work by citizens who volunteer to serve on City boards, committees, and
commissions; encouraged all citizens to visit the City of Bremerton webpage at
to see the important work being done by the City's Parks Commission and Planning Commission, and to
even consider volunteering themselves to serve on one of these Boards.
With no further business, he adjourned the Council Meeting at 6:50 PM.
M ZZ-2
LORI SMITH
Legislative Assistant
Attest: -
SHANNON CORIN, City Clerk
GR WHEELER, City Council President
G 'S :Is:cg
