� UL <br /> DIGITAL RECORDING AR <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES AN Z 0 1013 <br /> Wednesday, December 19, 2012 <br /> The weekly meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order <br /> Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 5 00 PM in Council Conference Room 603 of the NORM <br /> DICKS GOVERNMENT CENTER 345 6 Street, Bremerton, Washington, with Council President <br /> Jim McDonald presiding Council Members present were Eric Younger, Faye Flemister, Greg <br /> Wheeler, Roy Runyon, Adam Brockus, and Leslie Daugs Council Members Carol Arends and <br /> Nick Wofford were absent Also present were City Attorney Roger Lubovich, City Clerk <br /> Shannon Conn, and Legislative Assistant Lori Smith <br /> A COUNCIL BRIEFING was held to discuss General Council Business at 5 00 PM in the Council <br /> Conference Room At 5 30 PM the meeting moved to the Meeting Chambers <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council Member Leslie Daugs followed by the invocation <br /> provided by Major Jim Baker of Salvation Army <br /> PUBLIC RECOGNITION <br /> Larry Meyers mentioned that he spoke at previous Council meetings about how the City's utility <br /> rate study will address how water and sewer use are billed, since learned that water used to <br /> water lawns is not charged at the sewer rate, and will continue to learn more about the subject <br /> MAYOR'S REPORT <br /> • Attended the Wreaths Across America Ceremony last Saturday at Ivy Green Cemetery, as <br /> well as the Commencement Ceremony for Washington Youth Academy and the NAACP <br /> Health Fair later in the day, <br /> • Was proud of the work being done around the world by the USS JOHN C STENNis and crew, <br /> • Introduced Joe Sexton Community Resource Specialist with the Bremerton Police <br /> Department, and Judy McDonald Block Watch Captain, who presented Neighborhood <br /> Improvement Awards to citizens who have reclaimed their neighborhoods by improving <br /> their residence and /or property Kathi Ferguson Glenn Hodge and William Perez <br /> Richard & Sabrina Huddv Del & Michele Knauss Randall & Kimberley Lakin Patrick <br /> & Sherlock Lewis Tricia Mosolf and Kate Wilson <br /> • Announced that a Christmas Eve Dinner will be served by the Salvation Army, and <br /> • Lastly, wished everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and joyous Kwanzaa <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 5A Check Numbers 351309 through 351561, and EFT -12414 through EFT -12459 in the <br /> amount of $2,054,548 93, Regular Payroll for the pay period ending November 30, 2012 in <br /> the amount of $732,036 68, Regular Payroll (Payout and Correction) for the pay period <br /> ending November 30, 2012 in the amount of $1,622 65, and Regular Payroll for the pay <br /> period ending December 15, 2012 in the amount of $675,424 03 <br /> 5B Minutes of Meeting — December 5, 2012 <br /> 5C Minutes of Special Meeting — December 12, 2012 <br /> 5D Appointment of Linda Simpson to the Planning Commission <br /> 5E Appointment of Mike Strube to the Planning Commission <br /> 5F 2013 Property Insurance Renevyais with Lexington Insurance Company <br /> 5G <br /> Item was pulled from the Agenda <br />
